2007 Chevrolet Impala LS review from North America (Carsurvey.org)
The battery doesn’t last long (the way I use it). I had to replace the passenger front tire; the tires are very sensitive. It’s a fast car, and it’s very comfortable and very good to rely on.

They go over rocks and up hills, said Caltrans spokesman Jack Gaines on Friday as he watched a herd of more than 400 goats chomp on grasses, berries and star thistles behind a Target store in San Leandro.

Tractors arent so good at that, Gaines said. It helps the goats out. It helps the land out. Its an alternative to mowers.

The goats spent the entire weekend at a bumpy 11-acre parcel that rests beneath the flyover connecting Route 238 with Interstate 880.

The grassy land, just yards from the San Lorenzo border and the shopping plazas on Hesperian Boulevard, is a testing ground for Caltrans.

Gaines said the agency is following the lead of a host of local Bay Area agencies that already use goat herds for cutting down on overgrowth.

The arrival of hundreds of goats drove out a group of homeless people who were living in a grove of trees a short distance from a Target building.

A job for Goats R Us

Rosamel Perrera, a 27-year-old shepherd, and his dog, Pollyanna, found the settlement late one night last week.

Perrera spent several nights at the site, in a trailer he temporarily parked behind Target. He works for Orinda-based Goats R Us, which Caltrans pays about $700 to $800 for every goat-chomped acre.

The smallest Chevrolet, indeed one of the smallest new cars you can buy, comes in at a dinky e10,995 (ex works) which equates to the annual running costs for a decent 4×4.

The itsy-bitsy price-tag gets you an itsy car, 3.495m long and 1.493m wide.

Despite the small dimensions it’s still got five doors. The test car was the cheaper of the two Matiz models, the SE. It gets a 796cc, three cylinder engine which produces a modest 50bhp.
