Terry Paul, owner of Genoa Chevrolet, explained that the driving force behind the project was location. “Instead of downtown, we’re going to be out on 51 where all the traffic is, so it’s better for display, service, and sales - a lot more exposure.”

Another factor was that the company had been operating in a leased building in the Village of Genoa since 1995, and the building owner recently announced plans to sell the building and terminated the lease agreement with Genoa Chevrolet.

The company began operating under the name Genoa Chevrolet in 2002. It had been operating as Spurgeon Chevrolet for over fifty years.
