EPA, acting on a tip from a former employee, investigated the handling of ozone-depleting refrigerants at the company’s body shop and service facility. The investigation resulted in the issuance of an Administrative Penalty Order. The parties were unable to reach a settlement, therefore EPA filed and was granted a motion for accelerated decision on liability and penalty.
