GM says its Volt plug-in hybrid may be delayed cautioned its planned Chevrolet Volt electric car may not reach market by 2010 the original deadline for the plug-in hybrid. In an online conference call with news reporters and analysts Friday GM Chairman Richard Wagoner said: “2010 would be great but (we) can’t guarantee that at this time.” The Volt which would include parts made by Indiana manufacturers still requires a breakthrough in lithium-ion battery research.
