– Featuring appearances by Silver Medal winner Rosalynn Sumners and other
former Olympians from the Seattle area.
– A traveling display with interactive games and exhibits focusing on skiing,
snowboarding, figure skating and ice hockey. A replica of the torch is also on
display.
– 3:30 p.m. signing of the Corvette Signature Car, which will be later
auctioned off to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Signature Car is being
signed by growing list of figures from the world of sports and entertainment.
– 23-year-old Lynn Thompson of Issaquah is one of the local torchbearers who
will represent Glen Grant Chevrolet. Lynn has dealt with a congenital heart
condition all her life, and has been active–as a camper and counselor– at
Children’s Hospital’s “Stanley Stamm” Summer Camp for terminally and
chronically-ill children.
