In 1959 there was a full series of elegant 1959 Chevrolet Impala’s. The Impala began as the top of the line Bel Air series in the 1958 Chevrolet production year. Available only as a convertible and two door hardtop Sport Coupe in 1958, the Chevy Impala was elevated to top of the line status in 1959. 1959 Chevrolet Impala production cars included a luxurious Convertible, a four door hard top Sport Sedan that was the fashion star of the impala series, a classy two door hard top Sport Coupe and a four door full size family car. Chevrolet advertising claimed that the four door Impala was the most stylish in General Motors family of sedans. The Impala name plate and crossed racing flags were mounted inside the painted area of the side trim molding. Front fender top ornaments had rear extensions. Factory price of the 1959 Impala ranged from $2600.00 for a four door sedan to $3000.00 for a fully loaded convertible.
